The most valuable place on my desk, where I work, is everything I see in front of me, including the window. Just as with products in a shop, the most valuable place is where the eyes can see it. If you put a phone in a drawer, it becomes invisible. Similarly, if you place sweets or snacks on your kitchen table, they capture your brain’s attention, whether you want them to or not. That’s why I put some printed insights of mine—words that are important to me—right in front of me, so I can see them constantly. They remind me, “Whether I move fast or slow, just dedicating time to my business will make everything around it grow and evolve.” If the task at hand is a plant, the attention of my brain is the sun; I just need to let it shine on it, that’s all. Under the sky, the weather will take care of it itself.
Before I started prioritizing my business as the first task of the day, I was worried about not working on it enough and stressed about how long it would take to see progress. But I realized that by simply engaging with my business every day, my brain naturally figures things out. The business is like a plant; if neglected, it stagnates, but with regular attention, it grows.
All I need to do is set a timer for three hours every day and go with the flow. Whether progress is small or big, the key is that it’s moving. This is the critical difference between stagnation and growth. I am determined to realize my dream, and I’ve bet my entire life on its success. I am the sole person responsible for where I end up. No one is guiding me—I am guiding myself, making decisions that will write my own history.
