Choosing the right direction at the beginning is crucial because that choice shapes the future, often leading to entirely different outcomes. With this in mind, I’ve decided to give myself more freedom and flexibility in pursuing financial independence, leading to some changes in my overall business strategy. In truth, dropshipping wasn’t my initial idea for this pursuit. I had another plan in mind, which I have now decided to revisit and incorporate, though I won’t disclose the details just yet.
Regarding dropshipping, I’m not abandoning it entirely; I’ll continue with it. However, the time required for ordering and testing products, coupled with intense competition from companies like Temu, which offer extremely low prices and free shipping, makes it challenging. Additionally, Amazon’s upcoming launch of a dedicated branch in Ireland will allow people here to shop without relying on Amazon UK, thus avoiding import taxes. Given these market conditions, I’m opening myself up to other, more modern business models that better align with current trends and my strengths.
As a reflection of these changes, I’ve decided to rebrand this blog from a business-focused platform to a personal one, to better represent its current use. Initially, it was meant to document my online business endeavor, but given that I post every Friday and the slower pace of the business, I realized there wouldn’t be much to write about each week.
Going forward, this blog will cover a broader range of topics. One area I’m deeply passionate about is the human brain—not from an academic perspective, but through personal introspection, observation, and self-reflection. Some might label this as philosophy, but I see it more as a pursuit of understanding what we truly are as human beings—not what we think we are, but what we actually are. I’ll also delve into questions about the process of thought itself. Is there a part of the brain that operates independently from thought? These are the kinds of questions I want to explore, which may not fit neatly into conventional categories.
Another focus will be on my experiences and insights related to my hobbies, such as language learning, playing the piano, physical training, and my pursuit of various skills like HTML and CSS. Additionally, I’ll share my reflections on life in general.
This transformation of the blog from business to personal will reflect a more comprehensive view of my life, not just one aspect of it. As I find more time amidst my current commitments, I’ll be updating my entire WordPress website to better represent this change. The website, initially designed as my virtual business card, will now showcase a broader picture of who I am—not just as someone pursuing business endeavors, but as a whole person.
To conclude this post, I’d like to share this: one should never be afraid to change direction. I’ve seen many people feel trapped by their past decisions for various reasons—thinking, “I’ve invested too much to quit now,” feeling pressured to meet self-imposed or external expectations, or simply fearing the unknown. But fear should never be the decision-maker, unless it’s a situation of real danger, like a lion staring you down or a car speeding towards you. In all other cases, there should be the freedom to explore new paths.
I say this from personal experience, but I believe it’s a universal truth. Despite our perceived differences, as human beings, we all share the same nature of struggles—both of the mind and of life—regardless of where we are in the world or the nationality we identify with.
